We have a new name!! It was submitted by Catherine King.
Knitter's Night Out West (KNOW) We have also elected our first slate of officers who will serve the 2007-8 term, too. They are:

Due to the speedy interest and growth of the western chapter- we have quickly outgrown Dunn Bros. Coffee Shop. We are now meeting at Holy Covenant United Methodist Church located at 22111 Morton Ranch Road. They have graciously agreed to let us use their Covenant Hall.

The meetings will be held on the LAST Monday of every month (with the exception of May and December, due to holidays), from 6:30 until 8:30.

2008 MEETING PROGRAMS

March 31 - Provisional Cast-on - We'll be learning a cast-on that leaves you with a lifeline through the live stitches when it's taken out. No more lost stitches!
To participate, bring: Worsted wt. yarn, appropriate needles, crochet hook (anything around size G will do)

April 28 - Demonstration of Spinning and Drop Spindle

May 19 - Woven Stitch & New Knit Along Pattern

June 30 - Introduction to Internet Resources

July 28 - Holidays in July - Looking ahead for Gift Ideas & New Knit Along Pattern

DIRECTIONS:
I-10 West to Mason Road turn right and head North - approximately 2 miles North.
turn left at Morton Ranch Road and Holy Covenant is the second Church on the south side of Morton Ranch Road.

First big intersection you come to is Park Row - as you continue North - another landmark is the Academy Sporting Goods Headquarters on the right - the second light is Franz/Saums; continue North and the third light is Morton Ranch Road turn left - second church on the left/south side.

FYI: Morton Ranch Road is identified as "Morton Road" at the intersection with N. Mason Road. It is about 2 miles north of I-10. You'll see the Morton Ranch subdivision on the right before you come to the light.
